Then we had literally 4 servers and the hostess waiting and checking up with us. Our main server continued to be occupied somewhere else and provided limited attention. But, when the dish arrived and I began eating it, it was clear that the chef had not taken care to prepare my meal as I had requested, and it, in fact, contained an excessive amount of fat. My dining companion had ordered the same dish, prepared in the normal way, and both looked exactly the same - glistening with a great deal of oil. The waiter again assured me that the chef had prepared the dish with as little oil as possible, but I consider myself an amateur chef and I know I could have prepared that dish in a much more healthful way and it would have been just as, if not even more, delicious. Only one complaint. The rigatoni bascaiolo dish was very salty. Everything else was excellent.
